A little more about this video…
Abeat and I have been writing a novel series called Strength & Justice, and the first book is planned to go on sale in June this year. Both of us are really excited and nervous at the same time! We’ve been planning and working on this series for the past three years. To put simply, it’s an urban fantasy mystery story. Although Abeat and I both planned and co-write (mostly through us RPing and then one of us prosing), Abeat is responsible for the first book. The books will go on sale at Amazon and the Kindle store. Hopefully some of you will be interested to read it! (I also want to give a very, very special thanks to Aki, our first fan and biggest supporter, and Tris, who has patiently listened to me babble about this series.)
Strength & Justice takes place in Geminate City, the capital of Geminate Island. Geminate City is divided between two districts: the Celestial District (the ‘good’ side of town) and the Teretial District (the ‘bad’ side of town). In Geminate City, everyone possesses a special power, unique to the individual, called a dyna. Throughout the past five years, dynas have been disappearing without a trace.
The first story, Strength, stars 15-year-old Jeremy Itsubishi, a cadet in Geminate’s police force, also known as DANDY. (The cadets are known as the LIONS.) Jeremy juggles a life between work, school and personal life. Lately, his work life revolves around the disappearing dyna mystery. DANDY believes the cause is a disease known as the repulsion illness. The only symptom? A state of berserker rage called a haywire. While Jeremy takes life easy, cases of the repulsion illness quickly crop up within his personal life, which leads Jeremy to believe that there is more to this illness than meets the eye…
Anyway, back to the video. It’s my own adaption of the first half of Strength’s first chapter. This video was done for school and took a total of two months to complete. I used a combination of SAI Painter, Photoshop and Flash. Can you guess who did the voices? X3 (Hint: Not me.)
You can visit the website here though there’s barely anything in it right now.
I hope you enjoy this video and hopefully enjoy Strength once it’s on sale! I’ll keep everyone posted.
